About The Position

What you’ll do Step into a hands-on role wiring industrial control panels with precision and efficiency. You’ll transform drawings and parts lists into fully wired panels that meet customer specifications and our company’s quality and cost standards. A day in the life Start by reviewing the work order to confirm the correct parts and drawings are on hand. Use schematics and layout drawings to route and terminate conductors so the finished panel matches customer requirements. Select and verify the proper wire types and gauges for each connection. Perform accurate crimping and lugging; place wire Ty-bases exactly per company wiring standards. Build both standard panels and select engineered/custom configurations. Conduct in-process and final checks using the Quality Checklist. Apply all mandated labels before release. Document your work and maintain required records and forms. Work safely, follow all shop rules, and keep your area clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Comfort working across wire sizes from 18Awg to 450mcm
  • Skill with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, and a tie wrap gun
  • Basic computer use for data entry when needed
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, blueprints, and electrical schematics
  • Attention to detail for completing paperwork, documentation, and records
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or a comparable blend of education and experience
