About The Position

Industrial Compressor Service and Diagnostics Technician Is this you? Do you enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical puzzles? Are you comfortable reading wiring diagrams, using precision instruments, and guiding customers through solutions? Role snapshot Location: Virginia Beach and Fredericksburg, VA (daily travel within a 3-hour radius) Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour to start, based on experience and qualifications Status: Full-time, hourly Bonus: $3,000 Sign On Bonus! Vehicle: Company vehicle and fuel card provided What you’ll work on Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw, reciprocating, Centac, and ECC air compressors and related system components. Support pre-commissioning and start-ups; perform hands-on work to ensure equipment meets customer requirements with limited guidance from a Master Technician. Leverage precision measuring tools for diagnostics and read/interpret equipment manuals, parts lists, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Perform preventive maintenance on Ingersoll Rand equipment and respond to both expected and unexpected customer needs. Coordinate parts and materials with the Service Coordinator to complete installs and repairs efficiently. Train and assist apprentices and Field Service Technicians. Requirements

2+ years of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
Valid driver’s license for 12+ months with no major/frequent violations (including DUI in the last 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the last 3 years).
On-call rotation after first 90 days: 24/7 availability for one week as often as every 4 weeks or longer (per hiring manager).
Ability to meet physical demands: frequent hand use; walking, stooping, kneeling; lifting/moving per safety policy.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Electrical schematics and equipment diagrams
Advanced network systems (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation)
Basic vibration troubleshooting
Air treatment fundamentals (compressor/dryer)
Microsoft Office and general computer literacy; smartphone/tablet proficiency; network familiarity
Efficient, cost-conscious travel practices

Nice To Haves

2+ years of industrial air compressor maintenance experience
Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC education with AC/DC circuits, schematics, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity/controls, refrigeration, and/or EPA refrigerant certification

Responsibilities
