About The Position

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and upkeep in a chemical plant environment, including tasks such as painting equipment and production areas. The role involves operating machinery, managing waste disposal, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment as directed by the Production Manager.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing cleaning
• 1-2 years of experience in sanitation
• 1-2 years of experience in general labor
• Forklift operation experience
• Experience in chemical handling, blending, loading, sanitizing, and janitorial duties
• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience
• Prior mixing and batching experience
• Forklift experience
• Experience in chemical manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift
• Collect all trash hoppers in and around the facility twice a day and dispose of trash properly
• Run floor cleaner as needed
• Mop, sweep, and clean floors, walls, and equipment
• Inspect the exterior grounds weekly for litter, appearance, hazards, and notify appropriate personnel if necessary
• Paint as needed (walkways, railings, floors, 7S items, etc.)
• Monitor and empty dust collectors
• Replace receptacles for recycling when full and stage full receptacles in the appropriate area
• Maintain oil/materials catch cans
• Stock shelves at mixer stations (gloves, dust masks, tape, etc.)
• Clean returnable drum plates as needed
