About The Position

JSET Automated Technologies is a growing leader in Building Automation Systems. We specialize in the installation and commissioning of BMS and EPMS systems for data centers. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time. We're seeking a BMS Controls Technician to join our team. You'll work on data center projects in the Columbus area and be flexible to travel within ~250 miles when needed. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn and apply technical skills while supporting large-scale, high-demand projects.

Requirements

• Age 18+ with a valid driver's license
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel within ~250 miles of Columbus as needed
• Ability to lift 20–60 lbs and work in varied environments (hot, cold, noisy, wet)
• Comfort with standing, walking, stretching, and reaching for extended periods
• Ability to distinguish wiring colors/shades without corrective lenses

Nice To Haves

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Familiarity with configuring devices using software
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Experience in building automation or low-voltage systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical documents for devices and equipment
• Work with a team of technicians to meet project goals
• Perform point-to-point inspections to ensure system reliability
• Troubleshoot and repair circuits, devices, and wiring
• Support commissioning and final system testing
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and industry standards
