About The Position

The Industrial Automation Technician role at Do Supply, LLC. involves testing and refurbishing surplus industrial automation equipment. The technician will work primarily with industrial controls, including PLCs, drives, HMIs, and motors, ensuring they are repaired and calibrated to meet operational standards. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in electrical or electronics field or a degree relating to electrical or electronic systems.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Comfortable in a role where success is determined through key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
• Confident with learning information technology systems with minimal training and oversight.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Allen Bradley equipment is highly preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of technical or industrial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and calibrate industrial controls, such as PLCs, drives, HMIs, and motors.
• Test the functionality of each repaired unit and document the test results in the software system.
• Communicate with the sales/purchasing team to ensure timely shipment of orders and necessary stock purchasing.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment and demonstrate computer literacy.
• Perform repairs at the component level, utilizing strong soldering and troubleshooting skills.
• Use test equipment (multimeter, loop simulators, computer-based oscilloscopes, tachometers) and test fixtures to ensure thorough and accurate repairs.
• Utilize automation software to install parameters and test communication of equipment.
