The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for improving workforce productivity, consistency, and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of process, maintenance, calibration resources, parts, materials, equipment, or control system access. This position is responsible for the installation, modification, and upgrade of automation systems, ensuring that all systems are operating correctly. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and designing the concept, selecting and programming controllers, ensuring the proper communication between different automation system components, simulating, installing, testing, and managing electrical or mechanical automation components, and finally monitoring and troubleshooting the automation processes on an ongoing basis.
