About The Position
As an Industrial Appraiser at Capitol Appraisal Group, you will play a crucial role in providing mass appraisal services to our clients, ensuring that all valuations are defendable and accurate. Your primary responsibility will be to establish appraisal roll records for industrial properties, as well as other property types as needed. You will be expected to maintain strong relationships with appraisal district staff and represent Capitol Appraisal at various business and legal functions. This position requires a proactive approach, as you will be involved in the creation of mass appraisal tables and schedules, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our appraisal services. Your duties will include attending on-site inspections of complex properties, where you will take detailed field notes and photographs to support your appraisals. You will appraise assigned complex properties using all available information, ensuring that your assessments are thorough and well-informed. Interaction with property owners, agents, attorneys, and appraisal district staff will be a regular part of your role, as you will need to collaborate with various professionals in the valuation of these properties. Additionally, you may assist in the creation of complex valuation models and make informed value recommendations to clients based on your findings. As part of your responsibilities, you will also assist appraisal staff as necessary and consult with appraisers and staff on complex property issues and valuations. This position demands a high level of organization and time management, especially during peak periods from February through September, when workload increases significantly. You will need to be a self-starter, capable of problem-solving and coordinating efforts with other staff members to meet tight deadlines.
