About The Position

Join us in making a significant impact in the lives of adults living independently with Intellectual Disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work a few hours per week, particularly on weekday afternoons, Saturdays, or Sundays, to assist individuals in your area. Depending on your experience level, you can earn between $18.50 per hour (for those with 1 year of experience) to $19.50 per hour (for those with 2 or more years of experience). There is potential for increased hours and eligibility for regular part-time and full-time positions based on performance. We have opportunities available in all four counties of Western Massachusetts, including Greenfield, where preferred activities include gardening and walking in town, as well as assisting with household management.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Two professional references.
• Over 1 year related experience preferred for ISS 1; 2 or more years for ISS 2.
• Acceptable CORI and NBC Fingerprint.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities/autism in expanding their skills, experiences, and opportunities related to community living.
• Develop a personal relationship with the individual to understand their special interests, strengths, and learning needs.
• Serve as a resource that complements the efforts of the Assigned Specialist.
• Work under the supervision of the Specialist.
• Maintain a reliable and dependable schedule.
