About The Position

In Trinidad, you'll dedicate your efforts to vital environmental stewardship, including trail maintenance, invasive species removal, pollinator garden upkeep, and interpretive programs with the picturesque Trinidad Lake backdrop. Beyond your important work, Trinidad serves as a gateway to unparalleled outdoor adventures, from hiking and biking the trails around town and in our two state parks, to fishing and boating 3 well-stocked lakes or the Purgatoire River that runs through town. - Ability to work outdoors daily in high temperatures, low humidity semi-arid environment at 6500'
- 18 Years or older

Responsibilities
- Invasive plant species control
- Making boundary fence wildlife-friendly
- Fence removal and repair
- Pollinator garden upkeep
- Trail maintenance
- Sign inventory and maintenance
- Water safety programs
- Special events such as fishing days and parades
- Interpretive tours/presentations
- Accompanying rangers with vehicle and boat patrols
