The Individual Benefits Account Manager serves as the primary contact for individual benefits clients, supporting the sales team by delivering high-quality service. Requirements

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 3 years in individual benefits service.
  • Active life & health insurance license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop Medicare insurance solutions for prospective and current clients based on their needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all correspondence in a quick and accurate manner.
  • Process day-to-day service requests associated with individual benefits accounts.
  • Process individual life applications and follow up as necessary on enrollments.
  • Educate and enroll clients on the most suitable Medicare plans available in the market, while being available to work with other advisors and their clients during Medicare’s annual enrollment.
  • Evaluate and process client requests to ensure appropriate coverage is met.
  • Verify accuracy of premium quotes and all plan cost information shared with our consumers.
  • Mentor new team members.
  • Answer questions regarding coverage options, and assist clients with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal clients, peers, and leaders, regulators, partner insurance carriers, and field marketing organizations.
  • Enter activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices regarding compliance and errors and omissions.
  • Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable.
