About The Position

Menasha Corporation is seeking an Indirect Tax Intern who is motivated to learn, excited to collaborate and passionate about delivering outstanding results to join our Tax team. In this position you will work directly with our Indirect Tax Manager to support the organization’s indirect tax compliance in the US and Canada with assisting in compliance activities, reconciling tax accounts and other tax related projects. To be successful we need someone who is a self-starter and organized, with strong attention to detail. The Indirect Tax Intern for Menasha Corporation will be responsible for assisting the Tax Team with projects working a flexible part-time schedule during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or other related degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recurring indirect tax compliance activities to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns. This includes US tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist with reconciling tax payable accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist in gathering information requests from state and local tax auditors.
• Support tax team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks.
• Assist with performing indirect tax research.
