About The Position

SITA globally spends sizeable sums on our indirect procurement scope including FM, Professional Services, Consultancy and Marketing etc. Effective control and management of this spend via proactive procurement is essential to help deliver savings, value add and to support the wider strategy of SITA. Margin erosion as well as new entrants are challenging SITA's position and innovative new ways to drive commercial savings, adding more value as well as balancing supply continuity and environmental considerations are essential. The Indirect Strategic Procurement Lead role is responsible for setting the Procurement strategy for the Global Indirect category / supply chain and delivering on key objectives, targets and KPI`s for Global Indirect procurements, sourcing and key projects. The role is also responsible for building and maintaining the centre of excellence for the central group Indirect category, providing market and subject expertise as well as delivering an environment of continuous improvement exploring new commercial and contractual models as well as challenging market norms and Indirect supply chains to better support SITA's growth and wider transformation.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years Strategic Indirect procurement experience in a global environment.
  • Degree in Business/Financial sciences or equivalent work experience.
  • Membership of a recognized purchasing professional body (CIPS preferred).
  • Experience of FM, Marketing, PS, Consultancy, HR, Legal and Travel categories.
  • Leadership skills and experience working in a global, dynamic environment.
  • Business partnering & relationship building skills.
  • Negotiation of global deals, terms, commercials and frameworks.
  • Contract Drafting experience.
  • Awareness and experience of key Indirect contractual risks.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of key Indirect terms and requirements.
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Digital tools experience / IT literate.
  • Commercial mindset / numeracy.
  • Inquisitive and innovative - exploring new commercial terms, models and routes to market.
  • Change Agent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Indirect procurement category scope, setting and implementing an innovative, clear written strategy.
  • Engage proactively with material Indirect suppliers to reduce cost, mitigate risk and build strong partnerships.
  • Work with the Head of Group Procurement, key stakeholders & regional Procurement leads to build accurate and timely pipeline and strong internal relationships.
  • Provide thought leadership, innovation & creative new ideas to drive positive change in procurement processes.
  • Evolve the Indirect category and explore new ways to source and procure via new commercial models.
  • Constructively disrupt current norms and engage with the supply market to deliver dynamic benefits.
  • Ensure robust relationships, continuity of supply, and make Sita a customer of choice in the market.
  • Manage three direct reports to deliver on objectives, mitigate risk and deliver evolving commercial benefit for SITA and its clients.
  • Play a key role in current transformation activities and implementation of IValua.
  • Create Travel Sourcing Strategy and negotiate best pricing/terms.
  • Commercial management of core travel provider.
  • Develop and maintain the Indirect category centre of excellence.
  • Evolve, change and improve current Indirect procurement processes and engagement models.
  • Create an environment of continual improvement to challenge market norms.
  • Deliver new Indirect Category plans and corresponding objectives.
  • Own strategic Procurement engagement with critical suppliers.
  • Provide timely MI and reporting on key savings, spend data, and market trends.
