We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Indirect Purchasing team as an intern. As an Indirect Purchasing intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting buyers with sourcing initiatives, supplier analysis, and procurement projects across multiple commodities. This role offers exposure to strategic negotiations, supplier qualification, and enterprise system transitions while contributing to data-driven purchasing decisions. In this role, you will assist buyers with market research, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations, support preparation for strategic negotiations, and contribute to master data cleanup and analysis related to the ONE STIHL ERP migration. You will also support stakeholder mapping efforts to clarify decision-making structures across sub-commodities.

Requirements

  • Academic Year: Junior, Senior
  • Area of Study: Business, Finance, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
  • Software Experience: MS Office, Ariba and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Support buyers with project tasks including market research, benchmarking analysis, supplier qualification, and financial risk analysis
  • Assist with supplier onboarding activities and documentation
  • Help prepare for strategic negotiations by evaluating key requirements, price drivers, alternative offers, and future demand considerations
  • Support pre-work for the ONE STIHL ERP migration, focusing on master data cleanup and analysis in Ariba and SAP
  • Assist with stakeholder mapping to identify key decision-makers for each sub-commodity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sourcing and procurement initiatives
