Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with consumer loan products and features.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in indirect lending.
  • Experience with Origence (CUDL) or similiar platform.
  • Analytical skills to conduct preliminary analysis of an applicant's financial condition.
  • Excellent interviewing, telephone and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to supervise others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous credit training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Indirect Lending department personnel located in the Hunt Valley office.
  • Responsible for scheduling and assigning work.
  • Dealership Management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with auto dealers to grow the loan portfolio.
  • Manage third party relationships with Lending Solutions Inc. (LSI) and Origence (CUDL).
  • Responsible for updating rates, notification of special promotions and policy updates.
  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensures all loans comply with state/federal regulations, monitors portfolio performance.
  • Maintains or reviews loan documentation in the member’s file, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Indirect Lending reports.
  • Underwrite indirect loan applications by reviewing credit report and analyzing the information provided.
  • Inform and explain loan decisions and stipulations to dealer representatives via the Origence CUDL system or over the phone.
  • Ensure that all loan documentation is complete before processing the loan request.
  • Funding & Processing: Reviewing contracts for accuracy to ensure quick funding
  • Adhere to all credit union compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) guidelines and regulations as explained and as appropriate for the position.
  • Perform other lending and administrative related duties as assigned by the Vice President, Lending.
