About The Position

EECU is on the lookout for a driven and detail-oriented Indirect Funder I to join our team! In this pivotal role, you’ll be the gatekeeper of compliance and accuracy, ensuring every dealer contract aligns with both our internal standards and State regulations. From verifying interest rates and loan terms to confirming original approvals, you’ll play a key role in keeping everything on track — and on time. Dealer contracts must be funded within 24 hours if packets are within guidelines. Funders are responsible for using multiple systems to update and finalize all approved funded loan packets. Indirect Funders fund an average of 1,900 contracts each month. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Candidate is responsible for adherence to all Federal and State Rules and Regulations that pertain to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.

Requirements

  • Must have an indirect auto background
  • Must have analytical skills and computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of the credit union operations
  • Strong decision-making ability and judgment
  • Extremely detailed, able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Able to effectively communicate to the dealers in order to obtain completed loan packets in a timely manner for funding
  • 1+ years of experience in the Banking/Financial industry
  • 1+ years in the Indirect Auto Lending Program
  • Typically 8am-5pm Monday-Friday (with occasional OT and Saturdays as needed)
  • EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions. If offered a position with EECU, will have to clear background check including employment, criminal, and drug screen.

  • College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify all documents in dealer loan packages to ensure are in EECU and State compliance.
  • Work closely with dealerships to correct and finalize contracts that fall outside of guidelines.
  • Confirm that all State-mandated forms are present and correct.
  • Calculate dealer reserves and dealer chargebacks with accuracy and transparency.
  • Collaborate directly with dealers to resolve reserve discrepancies and obtain any necessary corrections.
  • Provide detailed, audit-ready documentation to Management and State Examiners for lien perfections, chargebacks, and reserve payments.
  • Ensure EECU's lien is recorded within State-mandated timeframes
