The Indirect Dealer Relations Representative is responsible for driving loan volume and maintaining loan quality by developing and managing relationships with Franchised and Non-Franchised (independent auto dealerships) within an assigned territory. This role supports the growth of Pacific Service Credit Union’s indirect lending program through strategic dealer partnerships, performance analysis, and proactive business development. This role requires an organized and dependable individual with strong communication skills and the ability to foster new and existing dealer relationships. The position supports the team and organization by representing the credit union within the dealer community, effectively selling and communicating the benefits of the PSCU Indirect Lending model, and contributing to efforts that advance organizational goals and uphold core values, while enhancing member/service outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience, required.
  • Previous experience in prime and non-prime indirect auto finance, required.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) platform and familiarity of DMV documentation and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of the local automotive retail sales market with established dealer relationships; Extensive understanding of franchised and non-franchised dealership operations.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with dealer owners, management, sales, and finance departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage territory responsibilities with minimal daily supervision.
  • Strong business development, presentation, and relationship-selling skills.
  • Knowledge of credit union structure, product offerings, and operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, required.
  • Must be proficient in computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in sales, marketing, indirect underwriting, or dealership operations, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter, manage projects through completion with little supervision, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote indirect loan products and services to Franchised and Non-Franchised automobile dealerships to maximize dealer performance, loan penetration, and product visibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealership leadership, including; Finance & Insurance Managers; General Sales Managers; General Managers and Owners.
  • Analyze monthly competitor rate sheets and identify opportunities for pricing, process, and product improvements and opportunities.
  • Review weekly and monthly activity reports to measure dealer performance.
  • Analyze dealer performance data and recommend dealer onboarding, termination, and relationship optimization strategies.
  • Recruit and onboard new Franchised and Non-franchised dealerships, including managing approvals, assembling dealer packages, and increasing loan application and funding volume.
  • Function as a liaison between dealerships and internal teams (funding, underwriting, and servicing) to resolve issues and improve dealer satisfaction.
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery through regular weekly dealer contact and on-site visits throughout assigned territory.
  • Market the benefits of the Pacific Service Credit Union’s indirect lending program through dealer visits, presentations, and inbound/outbound communications.
  • Participate in dealership sales events and branch outreach activities as needed to regularly promote Pacific Service Credit Union within the community.
