Indirect Buyer MRO Contribute to achieving Metalsa's business objectives through the efficient sourcing and procurement of cost-competitive, high-quality indirect materials and services in the quantity, form, and timing required to support operational needs.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Industrial/Systems/Mechanical Engineering, International Commerce, Business, or other relevant fields preferred.
  • 2-5 years of Procurement (Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing/Supply Chain) or equivalent related experience required.
  • Experience within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple commodities preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and effective communication.
  • High integrity and customer-focused.
  • Results-driven with innovation and change management skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving and long-term planning abilities.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of assigned commodities.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics.
  • Familiarity with import/export processes.
  • Microsoft Office expert.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and/or develop an optimal, rationalized supply base that is stable, highly competitive, and well-positioned in terms of total cost, responsiveness, quality, delivery, geographic proximity, technological capabilities, and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
  • Execute the request for quotation process for assigned indirect materials and services by user requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, service levels, and commercial terms to drive the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while supporting operational needs and sustaining quality levels.
  • Ensure compliance with established Metalsa authorization levels, executing Purchase Orders and delivery agreements with selected suppliers.
  • Conduct order follow-up activity as required, including expediting delivery, arranging invoice payments, and resolving discrepancies or escalations.
  • Reduce inventory costs and ensure service levels by managing the MRO replenishment process.
  • Lead/participate in cost reduction initiatives and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) improvement projects with suppliers and key operational stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Document activity and retain historical files that are organized, accurate, and accessible to designated Metalsa staff.
