About The Position

Job Summary: The Die Cutter is responsible for choosing/using the correct die, as indicated by the job jacket information, and processing the correct stock with the correct die-cutting tool. By reading the information and looking over the printed work, the position is responsible for passing a high-quality product that meets quality standards to the next workstation. The Die Cutter may also be responsible to perform other duties as capable and assigned.

Requirements

• 6+ months’ experience with Die Cutting, Die making, Cutting or Router machines
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
• Manage large workloads, and maintain high quality and accuracy of work
• Meet deadlines and mitigate disruptions to workflow
• Knowledgeable in basic math, fractions, and percentage
• Ability to pass a basic skills test
• Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain for purposes of forklift certification
• Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as needed
• Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner
• Ability to work alone and under minimal supervision
• Ability to build effective relationships
• Ability to think outside the box when creative solutions are needed
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
• Work well on a team and contribute positively to GSP culture

Responsibilities

• Take printed stock and cut to the proper dimensions as called for on the production order
• Operate Die Cutting machines to make detailed custom cuts for various types of printed stock
• Read work order and verify all fabrication that needs to be accomplished before cutting has been completed prior to beginning the cutting process
• Ensure usage of proper cutting pressure in accordance with priorities set by leadership
• Report any issues or problems relating to signage to be cut to management
• Report any issues or problems relating to machine operational abilities to management and/or maintenance
• Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards
• Utilize forklift as needed
