About The Position

The State Director (Executive Director) is responsible for the overall administration and growth of services in Indiana. Dungarvin Indiana has approximately 500 employees who provide services to 250 persons with IDD in residential programs. In this role, the State Director is responsible for setting strategic operations and long-term goals for Dungarvin Indiana, aligning with the organization's mission and vision. The position involves overseeing fiscal direction, including budget planning, financial forecasting, and resource allocation. The State Director will drive the expansion of existing services and spearhead the development of new lines of business to meet evolving community needs. Regular evaluations of programs and services will be conducted to ensure the highest quality of care for individuals with IDD. The State Director will serve as an innovative leader of the operational team in Indiana, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, while assuring compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and laws governing IDD services. Additionally, the State Director will nurture relationships with potential and existing business partners, engage with advocacy groups, and implement staff development programs to ensure a highly skilled workforce. The role also includes managing risk and crisis situations, staying informed about industry trends, and preparing regular reports to senior management on the state's performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services field required; preference for master’s degree.
• Minimum of 8 years senior director level human services industry experience.
• Experience managing day program and/or ICF and/or supported group living programs with the DD/ID population.
• Financial management skills and budget experience of 10 million plus.
• Previous experience with the state of Indiana systems (DDRS).

• Serving as an innovative leader of the operational team in Indiana.
• Assuring compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and laws.
• Serving as the primary representative of Dungarvin and a liaison between senior administrative staff and funding authorities.
• Nurturing and developing relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
• Implementing and overseeing staff development programs.
• Managing risk and crisis situations and developing contingency plans.
• Staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborating with other stakeholders within the Dungarvin network.
• Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management.
