About The Position
Ringling College INDEX with the Sarasota County Fire Department where students will develop an illustrated pre-school/kindergarten appropriate bifold pamphlet & sticker sheet based on Client-provided script and details for educating young audiences about firefighters. Students will work with the client to understand brand identity and messaging standards, review client expectations and requirements, and pitch initial concepts for the pamphlet and stickers. Requirements
- Strong illustration skills with an understanding of composition, color, and visual storytelling
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and follow art direction
- Proficiency in industry-standard illustration software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and consistency across assets
- Ability to manage feedback, revisions, and deadlines efficiently
- Clear communication and problem-solving skills

- Portfolio or design samples (website, Behance, or work samples demonstrating design and copywriting skills)
- Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design
Responsibilities
- Create original illustrations based on creative briefs and concepts
- Create 1 cover, 3 interior illustrations and 1 sticker sheet
- Work closely with the Art Director (faculty) to understand and execute the overall visual vision
- Develop sketches, drafts, and final artwork for review and approval
- Apply feedback and revisions while maintaining artistic quality and consistency
- Ensure illustrations align with the Fire Department brand guidelines and project objectives
- Prepare and deliver artwork for print and digital formats within deadlines
- Communicate progress clearly and collaborate effectively with the creative team
