About The Position

Catholic Charities Maine is hiring Independent Support Services Workers (ISSW1) to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes throughout Androscoggin County. We are specifically looking for employees to serve consumers who reside in: Auburn, Lewiston, Sabattus, and Lisbon. This position will be 20-29 hours per week. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to help people live safely and independently in their own homes.

Requirements

Compassionate, dependable, and respectful individuals
Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
Strong boundaries and respect for confidentiality
Basic computer skills
Reliable personal vehicle
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Active email address
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., walk, climb stairs, and perform household tasks

Help clients remain independent in their homes
Provide housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
Run errands (groceries, pharmacy, appointments)
Transport clients using your personal vehicle
Offer companionship and support with daily tasks
