About The Position

Under the direction of the IRP Program Associate, mentors work closely with IRP students to provide tutoring and complete additional tasks as needed. The primary role of this position is to assist students who need clarification or additional support with course materials, projects, and homework assignments. Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.
  • Be enrolled in the IRP major and be in their third IRP semester or higher
  • Have successfully completed all required courses from the first two semesters of the IRP major
  • Be knowledgeable in the required IRP software and hardware bundle
  • Have experience installing, licensing, and updating music production software
  • Be proficient in Pro Tools and Logic Pro X
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be able to respond promptly to daily emails
  • Be able to commit to at least two semesters

Nice To Haves

  • Ableton Live experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist IRP students with projects, weekly homework, and exam preparation
