Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
This position is for an Independent Optometrist who will lease space inside Walmart stores. As an independent lease holder, the optometrist will take a leading role in patient care related to eye and vision, as well as general health and wellbeing. The role offers significant autonomy, allowing the optometrist to establish their own days and hours of practice, control their patient schedule, set their fee schedule, and retain 100% of exam/professional fees. For a fair market value, the optometrist can opt into equipment instrumentation and administrative and/or Opt-Tech support services, if permitted by state law. It is explicitly stated that this is not an employment position with Walmart Inc. or any of its entities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry OD from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license
- Ophthalmologist MD or DO from an accredited school
- Valid state ophthalmology license
- General Liability Certificate
- Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
