Applies extensive knowledge of the Independent Living Donor Advocate (Kidney/Liver) process and CMS mandates to all aspects of the UCSF ILDA program. Utilizes advanced professional concepts to improve donor experience, refine and continue to develop the ILDA program through hospitalization, with an option for donor support post-discharge. The ILDA Staff Chaplain engages in continuous process improvement, creating and refining APeX self-scheduling, and identifies early referrals and later advocacy issues for the LD Team. The ILDA is highly trained in clinical ethics, managing a robust program, sensitive human communication and adjusting workflow to meet time sensitive Donor and LD team needs. They actively consult with the Spiritual Care and Living Donor Managers. The LD identifies processes within their purview that need improvement for donor experience and support throughout a donor’s process. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $69,700 - $149,900 (Annual Rate). We provide 24/7 on-call coverage at all three Medical Centers and are accredited to run Allied Health Learner / ACPE Clinical Chaplain training programs (Fellowship, Residency and Interns). We also support UCSF Health by managing chaplains in two outpatient roles. One of which is the Independent Living Donor Advocate Staff Chaplain, who manages all aspects of the Independent Living Donor Advocate CMS mandates in relation to the Living Donor Transplant Team.
