About The Position

ETTA's Supported Living Services (SLS) Department is Seeking Independent Living Services / DSP Staff 1:1 for Male Client As an Independent Living Advocate, Caregiver or Direct Support Professional (DSP) You Will Assist Adults with Special Needs to Live More Independent & Enriching Lives About ETTA ETTA is a leading service provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing a full spectrum of services. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a licensed driver for a minimum of three years
  • Must have an insured vehicle with your name listed as an authorized driver
  • Must be willing to drive with a client in your vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Must be willing to perform "personal hygiene" tasks (including toileting assistance, if occasionally needed)
  • Some professional or personal experience supporting individuals with special needs (or related experience) is required.
  • Live Scan (DOJ / FBI) background check required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ASL a plus (but not required).
  • Willingness to learn on the job some basic sign language for client with hearing loss (helpful).
  • Open Availability a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Adults with Special Needs to Live More Independent & Enriching Lives
  • Staff for our ASL client may also occasionally be working with other clients 1:1 at various locations
