About The Position

The position involves managing an assigned case load, which includes regular meetings with clients and ensuring that all clinical files and reports are complete and up to date. Responsibilities include making weekly visits to client rooms located off-site, dropping off reminder notices, and conducting room inspections. The role requires intensive work with clients as they progress through the program continuum using Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction Strategies. Additional duties include assisting clients in securing entitlements, completing housing applications, preparing clients for housing interviews, and arranging housing appointments. The position also involves building clients’ daily living skills to ensure successful independent living, escorting clients to appointments as needed, liaising with clinical staff in other BRC or off-site programs, and providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance when necessary. Related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working with the homeless and formerly incarcerated.
  • Experience with substance abuse, entitlements, and the housing application process.
  • Good writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high stress/volume environment.
  • BA preferred, HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Knowledge of addictions and recovery process, as well as group process and dynamics.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Nice To Haves

  • Vaccination preferred but not required.
