About The Position
Hackbarth Delivery Service is seeking experienced cargo/sprinter van drivers for an independent contractor opportunity. This role offers the flexibility to manage your own transportation business while receiving support from our established delivery service. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for handling a variety of deliveries, including retail, wholesale, industrial, and medical supplies. The routes are scheduled five days a week, with working hours typically from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, although this may vary based on the specific route assigned. You will be expected to operate a cargo or sprinter van safely and efficiently, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to safety and traffic regulations. In this position, you will be required to load and unload cargo, which may include handling packages weighing up to 50 lbs. You will also need to communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries and maintain a high level of customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, reliable, and possess strong time management skills. You must own or lease a cargo or sprinter van to qualify for this position, and you should live within a 30-45 minute radius of the Gainesville, FL terminal.
