Independent Behavior Consultants help to deliver behavioral support services that are designed to support individuals who are experiencing or are likely to experience challenges accessing and actively participating in the community as a result of behavioral, social, or emotional challenges. Behavioral support services are intended to empower individuals and families (by leveraging their strengths and unique abilities) to achieve self-determination, interdependence, productivity, integration, and inclusion in all facets of community life, across all environments, across the lifespan. Independent Contractor Status: The Behavior Consultant is an independent contractor, not an employee of The Arc of Evansville. The Behavior Consultant is responsible for self-employment taxes, liability/malpractice insurance, professional dues, continuing education, and office equipment. No benefits such as worker's compensation, health insurance, or retirement plans are provided. The contractor has full flexibility to set their own schedule, including selecting workdays and hours.
