About The Position

East Penn is currently seeking a Sales Support Specialist to work in our Fleetwood branch. This position involves entering battery plant battery orders, checking the accuracy of order acknowledgements, and managing stock battery orders. The Sales Support Specialist will also be responsible for assigning stock batteries to orders, typing loading copies for all stock orders, making copies of orders, and distributing them to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, the role includes filling out product modification forms for the shop, typing salesman quotes as needed, taking incoming sales calls, and addressing customer needs while updating order status. Communication with salesmen and local drivers is essential, as well as completing trailer load updates and printing customer copies and bill of lading paperwork for the driver. The specialist will also generate credits for scrap credits, prepare batch reports for new batteries into stock, and file orders upon completion, confirming invoicing.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of work experience with prior sales administrative assistant experience, preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to learn new programs such as Salesforce, Configure One, Mainframe
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work in team or individual setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Enter battery plant battery orders and check accuracy of order acknowledgements
  • Enter stock battery orders and check accuracy of the acknowledgements
  • Assign stock batteries to orders
  • Type loading copies for all 'Self/Co' (stock) orders
  • Make copies of orders and distribute them to the appropriate people
  • Fill out product modification forms for the shop to make stock battery changes
  • Type salesman quotes if needed
  • Take incoming sales calls and work with customers addressing their needs and updating order status
  • Communicate with salesmen and local driver
  • Complete trailer load update and print customer copies and bill of lading paperwork for the driver
  • Generate credits for scrap credits
  • Get batch report ready to put new batteries into stock
  • File orders upon completion
  • Confirm invoicing
