About The Position

Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, the IQC is responsible for monitoring and providing timely feedback to suppliers through SQA.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate degree will be preferred, or a High School Diploma or GED. and be able to take all appropriate training classes required in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge in Various inspection methods and sampling plans.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in quality inspection.
  • Adopting problem solving methodology through systematic analysis by means of Kaizen, etc.
  • Detail oriented and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Computer literacy.
  • Use of hands and tools to properly perform the job.
  • Incumbent must be able to operate a computer.
  • Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head.
  • This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  • Lift minimum of forty (40) pounds.
  • Willingness to cross-train into other departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in SPC is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Planning for sampling inspection based on previous year data.
  • Revising IQP by including new check points based on corrective actions.
  • Lot rejection / segregation details – feedback to supplier through concerned person.
  • Arranging equipment and fixtures for testing incoming components.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of Incoming inspection process/ Lead time of completion etc.
  • Decision making & providing containment actions on inadequate quality materials to avoid line stoppage.
  • Regular monitoring of pending status.
  • Providing training to the operators
  • Maintaining day to day documents as per procedures.
  • Periodic verification of instruments and calibration.
