About The Position

The State Income Tax Manager will lead all aspects of state income tax compliance, reporting, research and planning. The State Income Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing state filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions, identifying tax savings and planning opportunities, monitoring nexus exposure, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all state-related filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 8 years related work experience, including 5+ years of state corporate income tax experience.
• In-depth knowledge of state income/franchise tax laws, apportionment methodologies, and nexus/unitary rules.
• Experience with tax provision and compliance software (e.g., Corptax, OneSource).
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.
• CPA.
