As an intern, you will gain valuable experience of working in a corporate environment and assist with day-to-day operations of a large corporate tax department. Duties will include preparing tax forms, assisting with many tasks using spreadsheet models, tax software and accounting ERP systems. This internship involves hands-on experiences which will provide opportunities for your personal success and development.

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student in an accounting or similar program, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and organization with ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed, proactive, and curious
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing factors and conditions
  • Interest in the hospitality and service industry
  • Can-do attitude
  • Demonstrate awareness, understanding and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment
  • This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate state and local income and franchise returns, extension requests, and estimated payments
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation to support various tax return calculations and filing positions
  • Respond to income tax inquiries and assessments
  • Special projects as assigned
