About The Position

The Income Maintenance Caseworker at the Butler Processing Center is responsible for assisting customers with case inquiries, eligibility determination, and case maintenance in a social services environment. Requirements

• Four years of experience in interviewing or work requiring the analysis and interpretation of data; or
• A bachelor's degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer phone calls and assist with case inquiries.
• Determine eligibility for financial assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, and LIHEAP.
• Interview customers over the phone to gather necessary information.
• Review and interpret policies to apply them correctly in case management.
• Data enter information into an automated eligibility determination system.
• Perform manual calculations as needed for case assessments.
• Type clear and thorough case comments regarding client circumstances and changes.
• Complete all work within deadlines in accordance with federal and state policy.
