The Income Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of daily financial transactions across all resort outlets. This position reviews, reconciles, and reports on revenues from rooms, food and beverage, retail, recreation, and other departments to verify proper recording and compliance with Dellshire Resort’s financial policies and accounting standards. The Income Auditor plays a critical role in maintaining financial transparency and supporting the resort’s operational leaders with timely and accurate reporting.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous accounting or auditing experience, preferably within hospitality or resort operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with POS and PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and reconcile daily revenue reports from all resort departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Retail, and Recreation.
  • Verify the accuracy of POS and PMS postings, credit card transactions, cash deposits, and adjustments.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve variances in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Prepare and distribute daily revenue summaries and management reports.
  • Reconcile credit card settlements and ensure compliance with PCI security standards.
  • Review voids, discounts, refunds, and complimentary postings to ensure authorization and documentation are in order.
  • Balance and verify all outlet cash drops and deposits with bank reports.
  • Maintain organized records of all revenue documents, reports, and supporting materials for audit compliance.
  • Support monthly closing processes, journal entries, and reconciliations as directed by the Director of Finance.
  • Uphold confidentiality of financial data and exercise discretion in all duties.
