About The Position

This position has as its primary responsibility the support of field sales commission programs. Requires familiarity with sales compensation systems and handling a high volume of employee and manager inquiries. The position is responsible for accurate payment of monthly commissions, researching commission transactions and resolving and reconciling transactions in accordance with various Plan documents. In addition, this position will have some responsibility for performing analysis of compensation-related information from internal and external sources, as well as assisting in the development and administration of various compensation programs (e.g., incentive awards, sales commissions, base pay, and payment and award distribution, etc.). In addition, the incumbent will audit jobs for content and responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements to assess appropriate benchmark pay level for the position. Develops and/or participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive pay information for positions throughout the organization below the executive levels.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Excellent, and demonstrated, quantitative skills
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Exhibit strong ability to interact with customers and satisfy their individual needs
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and able to perform extensive validation of data using automated tools to ensure accuracy of analysis
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to interact with all levels of management
  • A clear focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues, develop solutions, and make sound decisions
  • Able to evaluate job content, benchmark against external sources, and assign market value to role quickly and accurately

  • Minimum 3 years finance or data analysis, preferably with sales compensation administration experience

Responsibilities

  • Calculate, analyze and distribute corporate incentive bonuses and sales commission payments.
  • Conduct analysis of jobs, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's pay practices.
  • Lead the submission of internal compensation data to survey companies and perform periodic reviews of compensation market data to develop market reference points.
  • Propose changes to salary structures based on market movement and cost analysis for the US and additional countries as necessary.
  • Supports the review and development of job hierarchies and pay structures for base and variable pay.
  • Perform relative job positioning and pay comparisons for M&A events.
  • Design, implementation and administration of compensation programs including: base pay structures, short-term incentive programs, and equity.
  • Support the annual merit and equity grant nomination process.
  • Assists in the development of compensation training programs (base and variable) and communications at all employee levels.
  • Leverage relationships with HR business partners/leaders to understand business issues and propose resolutions related to compensation.
  • Act as a resource to Business Partners and Managers on compensation policy and practice.
  • Assist Compensation Group team members with special ad-hoc compensation analysis and special projects.
