About The Position

EmployIndy is the workforce development board for Marion County, connecting job seekers with employers and driving economic growth in the Indianapolis region. With deep expertise in youth apprenticeship and workforce development, EmployIndy has been engaged by partners to serve as the Community of Practice convener for the Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (INCAP) initiative. In this role, EmployIndy works in partnership with Industry Talent Associations (ITAs), the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, and Regional INCAP Connectors to support the implementation of high-quality youth apprenticeship programs that prepare Indiana's students for successful careers.

Reporting to Director, Apprenticeships, this position manages the INCAP Connector Community of Practice, providing central coordination and support for Regional INCAP Connectors as they implement youth apprenticeship programs across Indiana. The Manager creates the infrastructure and collaborative spaces that enable Connectors to excel by designing and facilitating Community of Practice gatherings, developing implementation resources, maintaining communication channels, coordinating stakeholder alignment, and providing targeted support for emerging challenges. This role requires strong facilitation skills, relationship management, project coordination, and the ability to translate complex implementation challenges into actionable support strategies. This is a grant-funded position starting in early 2026 that extends to early 2028.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in project management, program coordination, or community management required.
• Experience facilitating meetings, training sessions, or professional development programs with diverse stakeholder groups required.
• Experience conducting research, analyzing data, and translating findings into practical applications required.
• Driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams) and collaboration tools required.
• Experience with document management systems (SharePoint strongly preferred) and knowledge management systems required.
• Strong facilitation, relationship building, communication, written communication, data synthesis, organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups, navigate competing priorities, and problem-solve independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in education, workforce development, or youth-serving organizations preferred.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship systems, workforce development, K-12 education systems, or youth career development preferred.
• Certifications in project management, facilitation, or workforce development are a plus.
• Experience building and maintaining resource libraries or shared repositories for distributed teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Community of Practice Design and Facilitation (35%) -- Design and facilitate quarterly in-person Connector Collaborative Meetings and monthly virtual Topic-Focused Sessions, conduct 1:1 check-in with Connectors, and manage all meeting logistics including scheduling, materials, and coordination of guest speakers.
• Resource Development and Knowledge Management (25%) -- Develop comprehensive resources and tools to support Connector success, document and disseminate best practices across the network, and manage shared repositories for meeting recordings, resources, templates, and implementation guides.
• Peer Learning and Mentorship (15%) -- Design and manage peer mentorship programs, facilitate peer-to-peer problem solving and collaboration, and create opportunities for Connectors to showcase successful strategies and innovations.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Communication (15%) -- Serve as primary liaison between Connectors, ITAs, EmployIndy, and Fairbanks Foundation to ensure transparent communication, strategic alignment, and effective collaboration across all partners.
• Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement (10%) -- Track implementation trends and challenges across Connectors, perform research and data analysis on workforce trends and apprenticeship outcomes, and synthesize feedback to inform program improvements and policy recommendations.
