About The Position

The Inbound Receiving Associate plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of incoming inventory within our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for verifying, scanning, and processing inbound shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with variable conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with WMS systems and RF scanning devices preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Routine lifting, carrying, and manual handling of freight and pallets.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and occasional kneeling.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures, noise, forklift traffic, and moving equipment.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, RF devices, and handling small items.
  • Climbing on and off forklifts (for positions that require equipment operation).

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing documentation.
  • Accurately scan products and pallets using RF scanning devices and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and system updates for all received inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse operations, shipping, and inventory control teams to resolve discrepancies and support workflow.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Work scheduled hours as assigned, including overtime, early starts, late shifts, and weekends as business needs require.
  • Provide informal assistance and guidance to peers to support team performance and productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance receiving processes and overall warehouse efficiency.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment as required and adhere to all forklift traffic protocols.
