About The Position

Warehouse receivers are responsible for operations and paperwork relating to inbound freight. Their job entails receiving shipments, unloading product, checking product for damage, communicating with buyers on discrepancies, and correctly recording products received.

Requirements

  • Experience operating the following: Stand-up/Sit-down forklift, Clamper/Slip-sheeter, and Electric pallet jack.
  • Knowledge of RF system and its operations.
  • Good demonstration in the following: organization, attention to detail, problem solving, time management, effective communication, and teamwork.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations with high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience in reading a Bill of Lading and Purchase Order.
  • Previous Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Noisy environments / Hazardous conditions
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
  • Ability to work in temperature varied environments for extended periods of time, ranging from -10 degrees F to 90 degrees F, and handle the demands of the departments.

Responsibilities

  • Performing inbound inspections on trailers and product temperatures and alerting supervisors if an issue arises.
  • Unloading of pallets from inbound trucks to break down and separate products ordered.
  • Checking for damage of inbound product and properly recording issues due to discrepancies.
  • Verifies correct product, pack size, use-by date, quantity, and quality of product on Purchase Order.
  • Reviews Purchase Order and confirms that it matches the Bill of Lading
  • Labeling product with the correct warehouse storage tag(s).
  • Transporting received product to the correct warehouse storage location.
  • Making sure pallets are in quality shippable condition before sending them to correct warehouse location.
  • Verifies and signs Bill of Ladings and communicates any discrepancies with the driver.
  • Maintain a clean work environment per food safety and company standards. Assist in always keeping facility and surrounding premises in audit ready condition.
  • Pick cases for outbound shipment when required to support timely dispatch of trucks or customer pickups.
  • Other duties as requested by management.
