About The Position

The Inbound Operations Team Leader at Target is responsible for leading a team that ensures efficient inbound operations, including unloading trailer deliveries and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This role involves understanding sales goals, executing daily workloads, and providing a consistent experience for guests. The Team Leader will also be involved in training and developing team members, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting guest services. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals.
• Lead and share expertise in operations, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members and hold them accountable.
• Utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload.
• Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
• Assess backroom and sales floor areas to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve issues.
• Model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Lead and demonstrate a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors and correcting hazards.
• Support merchandise protection strategies and address compliance needs.
• Engage with guests and provide a welcoming experience.
