About The Position

The Inbound Operations Team Leader at Target is responsible for leading the inbound team, which focuses on unloading trailer deliveries and preparing merchandise for stocking on the sales floor. This role involves understanding sales goals, executing daily/weekly workloads, and ensuring a consistent experience for guests. The Team Leader will also be involved in training and developing team members, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals.
• Lead and share expertise in operations, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members and hold them accountable.
• Utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload.
• Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
• Assess backroom and sales floor areas to identify gaps and develop resolution plans.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
• Model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors.
• Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
