The Inbound Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, and stocking new inventory into the warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth inbound operations and requires the use of internal warehouse systems and various equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks.

  • Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or unload import containers by hand.
  • Use the ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage racking.
  • Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center.
  • Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards.
  • Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies.
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation.
  • 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and order pickers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
