Summary: The Warehouse Lead oversees the putaway of inbound product into our inventory and the pulling and staging of the outbound products for shipment. They are responsible for the flow of product into and out of inventory to the shipping locations. This role involves directing Arhaus employees and temporary associates under the direct supervision and guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor. In this role the lead will accurately create assignments while maintaining and constantly improving day to day putaway and pulling operations to ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy are achieved. The primary focus is to ensure operations safely, productively, and effectively with high quality to ensure business needs are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Team leaders are expected to: Set the tone and provide leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned Distribution Center team members and temporary associates assigned to you on a daily basis. Support other departmental leads within all areas. Support management initiatives on and off the floor in every aspect of their role to ensure compliance with policies/procedures, process improvement, and drive team member initiatives. Will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with utilizing the delivery schedule to create the daily door sheet and coding the delivery schedule to align with the day’s workload. Will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the creation and execution of the shift plan for putaway and pulling that is aligned with the overall DC Daily Plan. Working with the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisors ensure AWM work schedules are assigned prior to the start of shift. (Evaluating staffing and cross reference with the vacation schedule to staff accordingly). Ensure SHP locations are clear in STORIS prior to pulling any new product. Any discrepancies should be reported to the Selection Supervisors immediately and resolved prior to using the SHP location again. Work with associates to assist pulling product, provide coverage for breaks, and ensure team is not having downtime. Report to a Supervisor any associate “not working” during their scheduled work times. Relay time sensitive information, conflicts between associates in a professional and confidential manner. During the morning meetings ensure monthly safety topics are reviewed with the team and equipment audits are conducted on a regular basis. Emphasis safety and identify any unsafe work practices and report them to your supervisor. Reads and understands job aids/work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the component flow requirements. Maintain, refine and/or improve processes within the area to meet customer requirements which include deadlines and quality standards. Provide a positive and engaging working environment focusing on the DC metrics including housekeeping standards are developed into daily processes.
