About The Position
Inshoppers are responsible for greeting customers when they enter and exit the restaurant, providing world-class customer service and executing fast and accurate sandwiches while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. As an In-Shop Team Member, you’ll be the face of our brand—welcoming customers as they walk in and out, and ensuring every visit is fast, friendly, and memorable. You’ll help deliver the Jimmy John’s experience our customers love: real people serving incredible sandwiches, made right and served in 30 seconds or less. Requirements
- Must be able to communicate, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
- Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment.
- Take pride in doing things right.
Responsibilities
- Know your schedule, arrive on time or if you are going to be late, call your manager before your scheduled arrival time.
- Makes fast, accurate sandwiches while following safety precautions.
- Complies with all portion sizes, recipes, and all systems and procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurants including all tables, floors, windows, beverage stations, restrooms, etc.
- Greets customers and takes orders.
- Operates cash register-collects payment from customer and makes change without cash handling errors.
- Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets.
- Fills out systems and procedures punchlists with 100% accuracy and integrity.
- Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John's Dress Code.
- Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
- Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.
