About The Position

The position involves the service of food and/or beverage, including the delivery and order-taking of items in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Essential functions include retrieving checks, setting tables, picking up orders, delivering room service, monitoring guest dining experiences, and assisting with guest amenities. Associates may be required to work varying schedules due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, and regular attendance is essential for successful performance.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer six (6) months to one year previous serving experience.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to communicate orally and verbally in English.
• Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification; Responsible Vendors Training; CPR Training preferred.
• Additional language ability is preferred, Spanish in particular.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve check from order taker, set table and pick up order from the kitchen or bar.
• Carry trays up to 30 lbs. or push wheeled carts to deliver room service orders to guests.
• Set up room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders.
• Monitor progress of guest dining experience and remove trays and tables from guest floors.
• Assist with preparation of guest amenities and deliver to guest rooms.
