About The Position

The position involves taking room service orders over the phone, answering questions about menu selections, and coordinating with kitchen staff. Responsibilities include addressing guest inquiries regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines, logging call backs for room service orders, and notifying guests and management of any delays in service delivery. The role also requires communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and recording transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order. Closing reports, including MICROS reports, must be completed, and all payment methods processed. Adherence to company and safety policies is essential, including reporting accidents and completing safety training. The position demands a clean and professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets. Welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their service needs, and maintaining positive working relationships with team members are also key aspects of the role. The job requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific license or certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
