About The Position

Supervises all aspects of the In Room Dining and Marketplace Department.

Requirements

• Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials.
• Ability to communicate orally and verbally in English with staff and outside entities.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote service offerings.
• Ability to effectively deal with guest complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for being knowledgeable about all menu items and for taking accurate guest orders and putting them in the system, while providing a comfortable and genuine experience for the guest.
• Responsible for scheduling for staff on a weekly basis (to be approved and posted by Thursday of each week).
• Conduct walkthroughs of facilities to ensure that all support areas of area are neat, organized and in compliance with all established and approved set ups.
• Ensure supplies for area are maintained to established par levels and within the specified budgets for respective line items.
• Ensure all recreation support staff is in compliance with all standards of operation and guest interactions.
• Ability to coach and motivate team to achieve stated revenue and guest satisfaction goals.
• Conduct monthly departmental meetings.
• Perform payroll for recreation support staff.
• Knowledge of staffing to accommodate business demands.
• Attend all management training and development within hotel.
• Monitor progress of guest dining experience and remove trays and tables from guest floors at appropriate time; return them to designated locations in a prompt and orderly fashion.
• Assist with preparation of guest amenities and deliver to guest rooms; remove when appropriate.
