The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook What you will have an opportunity to do: As an In-Room Dining Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurately handling any cash, room charges, credit card charges or member charge transactions. Also responsible for pleasantly answering the telephone, taking orders and processing those orders.

Requirements

  • Must possess basic math skills, good telephone etiquette, good handwriting skills, work well under pressure be detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an atmosphere of pleasant hospitality on phone and in room service area, including clear communication with guests, staff and management.
  • Answer telephone in a timely manner, following proper telephone etiquette and order taking procedures and readily answering any questions courteously.
  • Upsell whenever appropriate by suggesting additional items to guest.
  • Commit reasonably accurate delivery times to guests.
  • Ensure proper flow of all paperwork as pertains to orders, amenities and special requests.
  • Check daily activities board that pertains to room service and make captain aware of those activities.
  • Have a complete understanding of all menu items available through room service.
  • Maintain working knowledge of point of sales system capabilities pertaining to room service, including entering orders, running reports, and completing associated paperwork.
  • Maintain good cleanliness standards and proper care of all supplies and equipment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
  • Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
