About The Position

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a cashier desired.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, liquors, waters, and drinks served.
  • Ability to serve guests through verbal interactions and maintain discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn and use telephone and POS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must complete TIPS® alcohol awareness certification upon employment.
  • Must have a valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain one.
  • Requires a valid driver's license in good standing if required to drive for deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls for In Room Dining orders and enter orders into the POS system.
  • Record guests' choices, special dietary needs, and special requests.
  • Describe menu items, methods of preparation, and prices as needed.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to maximize profitability.
  • Post checks to the correct account and ensure servers have all necessary information.
  • Process guest payment transactions accurately and close out orders.
  • Balance all payment methods with accuracy to sales report.
  • Wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes and follow all safety policies.
  • Report potential safety issues to management and take immediate action in emergencies.
  • Perform all duties of In-Room Dining Server when requested.
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties and keep storage areas organized.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing In-Room Dining workstations.
  • Receive and forward work requests and guest requests according to department procedures.
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions and needed maintenance.
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority and refer to management when necessary.
