About The Position

The In Room-Dining Busser at Maybourne Beverly Hills Hotel will play a vital role in providing a personalized and seamless experience for our guest through their in-room dining services. Additionally, the In-Room Dining Busser will assist in the managing and restocking of the minibars. You will also maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required
  • Minimum of one-year experience in Food and Beverage; Preferably In-Room Dining
  • Minimum of one-year experience in customer service
  • Exceptional guest recovery skills
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ability to understand guests' service needs
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time
  • Ability to focus attention on details
  • Proven ability to maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly; ability to exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage to our guests
  • Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred
  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
  • Must possess RBS ABC Certification
  • Must possess Food Handler’s certification
  • Must be flexible and have open availability; holidays and weekends are not negotiable

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and preparation of in-room dining orders, ensuring presentation and timing meet the hotel's luxury standards.
  • Deliver orders/requests to guest rooms with a focus on professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Provide warm and courteous service to guests, responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain a polished appearance and uphold the highest standards of professionalism while interacting with guests.
  • Clear tables, remove used dishes, and reset tables promptly to ensure a clean and inviting dining environment.
  • Monitor and restock in-room amenities and supplies as needed.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate the timely delivery of food and ensure all special requests are accommodated.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen to maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensure that all in-room dining items meet quality standards before delivery.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies in orders promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all in-room dining areas. Provide personalized and professional service to guests, assisting with their minibar selections, inquiries, and requests.
  • Regularly check and restock minibars, ensuring that all items are fresh, organized, and in alignment with hotel standards.
  • Monitor the freshness and condition of minibar items, removing expired or damaged products promptly.
  • Accurately record and charge guests for minibar consumption, following established billing procedures.
