About The Position

Description Drive food truck to/from events Manage event site in parking lot of Stop & Shop stores and at some local community events Distribute samples to consumers- most items will be non-alcoholic beverages or prepacked food items Some light cooking may be required- TBD based on participating suppliers Locations- Truck Location: Freetown, MA- truck “lives” at Stop & Shop warehouse, need someone conveniently located to here Event Locations: RI, CT, MA, NY, NJ Will require overnight travel for many events, may be multiple nights in a row to execute multiple events Responsibilities Responsibility would include vehicle transport, pickup, delivery, and general care of vehicle. Vehicle operation adhering to agency and DOT guidelines (included below and in Agency Fleet’s formal training/orientation materials): Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections DOT HOS/Log Book Management Vehicle Paperwork and Supply Management Parking lot maintenance and care. Vehicle launch support. Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent in industry name required
  • Valid professional driver’s license and good driving record (Clean MVR)
  • Proven working experience as a delivery driver
  • High level of personal integrity and reliability
  • Ability to demonstrates persistent follow-through and completion of tasks as agreed
  • Ability to develops and maintains trusting, respectful, collaborative relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and facilitating change within the organization
  • Acts pro-actively in an positive manner
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Is willing and able to work long hours and travel on short notice
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours as job responsibilities require
  • Willing and able to work non-standard work hours, weekends and holidays as required (this is not a 9 to 5 job), and possess a good sense of humor!
